Description

• Our 2 day - Canadian Red Cross Standard Child Care First Aid with CPR/AED (Level B) course is a fun and comprehensive first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course led by one of our first class instructors. This first aid course covers everything from life-threatening emergencies to minor bumps and scrapes and is recognized for early childhood education and day care worker safety requirements.
• This is the course most commonly required by day-homes and daycares.

Duration

• 2 Days In-Person: 9am - 5:00pm each day
• 16 hours over a comprehensive two-day course offering lifesaving first aid skills, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, and injury prevention skills and knowledge, with a focus on childhood injuries and illnesses. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines and meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial early childhood education and day care worker safety requirements.

Prerequisites

• There are no prerequisites for this course.

Completion

• Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps.
• 100% attendance and participation.
• 75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation.
• Adherence to the Fundamental Principles.

Certificate

• 3-year certification in Red Cross: Standard Child Care First Aid with CPR/AED (Level B).
