Falconridge shooting victim given first aid care

A person was quickly rushed to a healthcare facility after a shooting. The incident occurred in the northeast region of the city.

It was after 7:30 PM when the emergency crews attended the 100 block of Falton Close N.E. According to Sgt. David Fakas, they found a man in his 30s with a gunshot wound in his leg. The paramedics transported the victim to Foothills hospital in a stable, non-life-threatening condition.

The members of the Calgary police tactical unit joined the officers at the scene in searching for the suspect. The investigation is still ongoing.
